During a televised debate on the population census and the risk of declaring Greek nationality in some areas due to pressure or benefits, Panajot Barka made a shocking statement.

Barka has said, among other things, that "it is not our fault that Albanians are bought", retorting with the director of the Archive, Ardit Bido, and implying that during the census, people are bought to declare a nationality different from the one they have.
