Mario Përlleshi testified for the first time in the Tirana Court about the murder of Martin Cani.

His testimony was requested by the prosecution and was given in the presence of a psychologist. In most of the answers to questions related to the dynamics of the event, he stated that he did not remember.

As for the cutting tool, he stated that he did not have a knife with him that day, but that he found a cutting tool on the street.

He admits that the causes of the fight were a continuation of the arguments 3 days before the event where he claimed he was punched by Martin Cani.

The latter sent him an invitation to "SnapChat" according to Përlleshaj, where the debates continued and in the end, Mario claims that they left it to be clarified on Monday, the day when the serious incident occurred.

The hearing was held behind closed doors, while the prosecution and the court have been constantly interested, warning the parties to maintain investigative secrecy at a time when the event in question constitutes one of the most serious cases to have occurred in recent years and public interest due to its implications has been extremely high.

The reason for the court's decision to keep the process closed is the argument of the minor age of the parties in the process. The next session will continue with the testimony of Mario Përlleshaj, as this Monday, the lawyers of the injured party have submitted other requests regarding the expert reports conducted.
