The 20-year-old, the son of the accused for the murder of the Albanian businessman Xhani Topalli in Greece, has told how the whole event happened. The Greek media write that the young man has shown that everything happened during a fight between his father and the Albanian. He said that when the fight between them was taking place, he saw his father and the 46-year-old man on the ground. The young man says that he then came closer and saw that the 46-year-old was on his back, not moving, and noticed that there was a dark rope around his neck. The father said that he put the rope around the Albanian's throat to neutralize him and he fell unconscious to the ground, hitting his head on a stone.
When they removed the victim's car and the body of the 46-year-old, the young man said that he asked his father if they were going to the hospital and he did not answer. At the moment his father got him out of the vehicle near the place where he had dumped the dead body of the Albanian, he said he went to see what he was doing and saw the empty car, with the bloody sheet, and then his father down in a channel and the 46-year-old lying face down.
The Greek businessman himself has shown that on the evening of August 29, the Albanian went drunk to the hotel and raped his son. According to the 53-year-old, he then had a physical fight with the construction businessman and at one point took the rope in his vehicle to neutralize him. He said that at one point the 46-year-old was unresponsive and he released him, falling to the ground unconscious. According to him, the Albanian hit his head on the stones on the ground and lost his life.
The 53-year-old claimed that he had worked several times with the Albanian, who was involved in construction. Among other things, he said that one of his daughters is a classmate of the 46-year-old's daughter and he had taken her several times from school. As he stated, they have sat down several times to eat together.
The Greek claimed that in 2019, Xhani Topalli had repaired the rooms of his hotel for which he had to receive 100 thousand euros, while he had only given him an advance of 25 thousand euros. Due to the pandemic that also affected the tourism industry, in 2020 and 2021, the author said that the work did not go well and he could not pay it off in full.
He claimed that in addition to the amount owed to him, he had also paid the interest. The suspected author said that on August 28 of this year, the victim called him in order to sign the statements for the project and to receive money as an advance after they signed it. The Albanian asked them to meet, but because he realized that he was drunk, he avoided him and asked them to meet the next day.
According to him, the victim continued to call him and at one point while he was at the fair, he answered the call and because he was under the influence of alcohol, he was aggressive, cursing and threatening him. According to him, the Albanian was furious, very drunk, turning off and on the car lights, blowing the horn, shouting and cursing. Afterwards, he said that he went to the bar where the 46-year-old was waiting and, as he described, began to insult and threaten him. The perpetrator claimed that he tried to calm him down, but the victim became even more aggressive.
"He grabbed the boy by the throat. "My son tried to remove his hands, but he hit him in the face and then punched him in the ribs," he declared. The 53-year-old claims that they went out to the parking lot to clarify and there was a fight between them outside the reception in front of the rooms and they ended up in the trash cans.
Following the confession, at one point he felt that the victim was no longer resisting, so he released the rope and the 46-year-old fell to the ground, apparently fainting. He claimed that the victim was hit on the head with stones during the fall and after seeing that he had no pulse, he informed his son about the Albanian's death. Among other things, he said that he had dragged the body of the Albanian between the garbage cans. Xhani Topalli was found dead a few days ago, after more than a week of being declared missing.
