They killed the Albanian for the cannabis farm, the two thieves are sentenced to

Two thieves who killed Albanian Renato Geci, during an attempt to steal around £100,000 worth of drugs from a cannabis factory, have been jailed for life.

Shaddai Smith, 32, and Jason Sebran, 38, were found guilty of murdering 21-year-old Albanian Renato Geci and injuring his brother Wilson Geci, 29, after breaking into a house in Hounslow, west London on 22 March of last year.

On Monday, the pair were sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 19 years in prison. They were also sentenced to six years in prison for wounding and three for theft. Judge Howard Crowson said that although Smith inflicted the fatal wound with a kitchen knife, Sebran offered "aid and encouragement" after striking Geci with a screwdriver.

"In the event of a confrontation, you were prepared to use deadly force to escape capture ," the judge said.

The file states that in the flat where the two Albanian brothers were staying there were more than 200 cannabis plants with an estimated value of £95,000. The two accused climbed the building through a ladder and entered through the bathroom window, finding the two Albanian brothers guarding the narcotic plants.

The older brother went to see what was going on, and was confronted by the thieves, who splashed acid on his face. After this moment, the fight started which was deadly for one of the brothers. The prosecutor told the court that after the violent fight, one of the thieves took a kitchen knife and stabbed Geci, causing his death.
