Leandro Antonio Norero Tigua is gruesomely executed inside a prison in Ecuador.

Dubbed crime 'boss' Leandro Norero Tiguas was beheaded during a riot inside the penitentiary on 3 October.

The gruesome murder was filmed. Leandro Antonio Norero Tigua, alias El Patron, was accused of being related to the murder of Albanian Ergus Dashi in Ecuador for drug trafficking issues.

It is known that Leandro Antonio Norero Tigua was arrested since May 2022 for a case of money laundering. Albanian Ergus Dashi was killed on January 23, 2022 with 20 bullets in a bar in Ecuador.

Meanwhile, today's victim was criminally prosecuted for running a criminal organization that included several companies that sold vehicles, transport, import and export as well as service companies.

El Patron's criminal 'career' began in 2006. He was arrested for illegal possession of a weapon. Over the following years, Norero reportedly received the support of corrupt politicians, which allowed him to organize drug trafficking networks from the ports of Guayaquil and Machala.

Norero was considered by counternarcotics and intelligence authorities to be one of Ecuador's top drug traffickers. The money generated from various illegal activities financed further criminal activities of mega gangs such as Los Lobos, Los Tiguerones, Lagartos and Chone Killers, organizations that have been identified as having ties to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Norero gained notoriety after the killing of Jorge Luis Zambrano aka 'Rasquiña' in December 2020. Rasquiña was the leader of Los Choneros, the armed wing of the Sinaloa cartel.
