Three people have been arrested by the police in Tirana, after they allegedly stole a car in the Yrshek area and then dismantled it to sell it for parts.

The police say that citizens RN, 19 years old, EN, 46 years old and GN, 43 years old, all three residents of Tirana, have been handcuffed.

So, as evidence, their car, which they allegedly used during the theft, was seized.

Police notification:

It is finalized by Police Station No. 6, the coded police operation "Luna", for cracking down on criminal activity in the field of theft of property and wealth.

3 citizens who stole a vehicle, which they allegedly disassembled into parts and sold them, are identified, caught and put in handcuffs.

The vehicle with which the suspected perpetrators allegedly committed the crime is seized.

Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Station No. 6, following the work to combat illegality in the field of theft of property and wealth, identifying the perpetrators of theft and bringing them to legal responsibility, based on the information provided through information intelligence, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Luna".  

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were identified, arrested and detained: 

- RN, 19 years old, EN, 46 years old and GN, 43 years old, all three residents of Tirana.   

From the examination of film footage and other investigative actions, it has emerged that these citizens, on 09.10.2023, stole a "Benz" type vehicle in Yrshek. After stealing the vehicle, it is suspected that these citizens dismantled it and sold its parts to used vehicle parts sales outlets.      

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
