US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth confuses Tehran with Tirana.
At a press conference, while talking about the US attack on three Iranian nuclear bases, Hegseth gets confused as he says that the bombers intervened in Tirana instead of saying in the Iranian capital.
However, the American official quickly " catches " the mistake and corrects it.
"This is a plan that required months and weeks of positioning and preparation so that we were ready when the US president called us. It required a lot of precision. It involved orientation and the highest operational security. The B-2s went in and struck Tirana...sorry Tehran," he said.
The US carried out a massive coordinated airstrike on Saturday evening against three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan.
Washington declared that it had destroyed Tehran's nuclear ambitions, while Donald Trump warned of harsher attacks if there is no peace.
On the other hand, Iran vowed to retaliate.
