Footage of the serious accident recorded this Saturday afternoon in Peshkopi has been published.

As seen in the video released by TCH, the driver of the "Golf" vehicle, Alban Shoti, lost control and consequently entered a private barbershop business.
As a result, police officer Veli Gjura, who is in very serious condition and has been taken to the Trauma Hospital, and an assistant barber who worked at the barbershop were seriously injured.

The driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol and was taken to the police station for further action.

It is learned that the civil police were on duty to ensure smooth traffic flow after Sali Berisha held his closing rally in Peshkopi at 7:00 PM.

"Today, at around 18:30, at the Velia intersection, in Peshkopi, citizen A.Sh., 27 years old, driving a "Golf" type vehicle, is suspected of having lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle went off the road, colliding with a shop. As a result of the accident, citizen V.Gj., (a police officer on duty) was injured and is in hospital under the care of doctors.

"Preliminary verifications have shown that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol and was taken to the police station for further procedural actions. The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident," the Police statement said.
