The former director of the Albanian Road Authority, currently head of railways, Ergys Verdho , has left the Special Prosecution Office where he was summoned in connection with the investigative case.

SPAK had summoned him to provide explanations regarding the file, but no detailed details were given as to whether he was asked about the Railways or the ARA tenders.

Verdho himself, after leaving Godina, did not give a statement to the media, as the moment of his departure from the institution was captured.

Ergys Verdho left his post as director of the Albanian Road Authority in 2021 after resigning and taking another position as head of KESH at the time, replacing Benet Beci who was elected MP for Shkodra. Verdho was then appointed head of Albanian Railways.

In place of Verdho, Evis Berberi , already arrested and in court for the Llogara tunnel, for which former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku is also a defendant , has been appointed to lead the ARRSH .
