The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha , has reacted after the publication of images showing detained Gaza flotilla activists being treated humiliatingly by Israeli authorities.

Among them is an Albanian.

Through a reaction on the social network X, Hoxha called the images " shocking and unacceptable ", while emphasizing that every detained person must be treated with dignity and in accordance with human rights and international law.

"The images released by Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir showing the humiliating treatment of detained flotilla activists are shocking and unacceptable. All detained persons must be treated with dignity and in full respect for human rights, international law and humanitarian law. I have instructed our Embassy in Tel Aviv to remain in close contact and coordination with the Israeli authorities in order to ensure that our citizen is provided with appropriate consular assistance, as needed and in full compliance with international law," the minister wrote.
