Temperatures drop, severe frosts in mountainous areas

The Albanian territory continues to be under the influence of air masses of northeastern origin, bringing alternations of clear and cloudy weather in most parts of the country.

The most pronounced cloudiness will be in the Southern and Southeast areas.

It is expected that in the afternoon and following hours; there will be an increase in cloudiness throughout the country, causing the southern and southeastern edges to generate light rain and snow.

Meanwhile; severe frosts will continue throughout the mountainous area of ​​Albania.

Air temperatures will drop by at least 2-3 degrees in both daily extreme values, fluctuating from -7°C, the minimum value recorded in the city of Peshkopia, to 12°C, the highest value expected in the Elbasan region.

The wind will blow medium to strong at speeds over 60 km/h from the East - Southeast direction; this will cause a 4-point swell to be created on the sea coasts.
