The Albanian Journalists' Union has reacted with concern and shock regarding the rape of journalist Elton Tozaj , an event reported by several media outlets and confirmed by his family.

According to the UGSH announcement , the serious incident occurred on the Tirana-Durres highway and was observed by dozens of passersby.

The violence against the journalist is considered a criminal and unacceptable act.

Family members report that, as a result of the rape, journalist Elton Tozaj is in serious health condition and is fighting to preserve his eyesight.

UGSH calls on the responsible institutions for an official and complete clarification of this episode, as well as for the punishment of the perpetrators of violence.

At the same time, the Union wishes his colleague a speedy and full recovery.

UGSH shares with concern and shock the news published by many media outlets and family members of journalist Elton Tozaj, about the barbaric rape that identified persons committed against his colleague. 

The incident that occurred on the Tirana-Durres highway, observed by dozens of passersby, constitutes a criminal and violent act.

For this reason, according to family members, journalist Tozaj is in serious health condition and fighting to preserve his eyesight.

UGSH demands an official explanation of this episode and the punishment of the perpetrators, as we wish our colleague a speedy and full recovery!
