Journalist Klodiana Lala has given details about the investigations being carried out by SPAK against the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci.

The journalist said in the show "The Unexposed" that the investigation started after the seizure of the phone of Evis Berberi's wife, where there were communications related to Beci, since he worked at KESH. Lala said that Beci is being investigated for corruption and abuse of office.

"Benet Beci is a person officially under investigation by SPAK. He is being investigated for corruption, abuse of office. He is not being investigated as the mayor of Shkodra, but as the head of KESH, when he was the director of KESH years ago. It is interesting how he started the investigation. He was questioned on Friday, he did not stay long because he did not have a lawyer, then he chose a lawyer.

An interesting detail is that SPAK has investigated the former director of the Albanian Road Authority, Evis Berberi.

Mr. Berberi's house was searched. The prosecutors also confiscated the mobile phone of the wife, who was a senior official at KESH.

Messages not only with Mr. Beci, but also with other officials in the Ministry of Infrastructure have been discovered. After the contracts and documentation were collected, the prosecutors concluded that Mr. Beci should be a person under investigation. From the information I managed to get, associates of Mr. Beci were also called.
