15 years ago, the police remembered.

In the framework of the "Nationwide Year of the 80th Anniversary of Liberation" and on the 15th anniversary of the fall of duty of the state police employees, declared "Martyrs of the Homeland", Altin Dizdari, Fatos Xhani, Kastriot Feska and Saimir Duçkollari, a memorial ceremony was held in the city of Durres.

The ceremony was attended by the vice president. Minister of Interior, Andi Mahila, Director General of the State Police, Muhamet Roundaku, local government leaders, families of The Martyrs of the Homeland, as well as colleagues of the fallen and employees of the State Police.

In honor of the four fallen, the Memorial, the work of sculptor Ardian Pepa, was inaugurated under the aemination of the Local Police Directorate durres. Also, with the proposal of the Municipality of Durres, the Municipal Council has decided the naming of this street "Police Martyrs".

This act represents a generational reminder of the hard work, dedication and sacrifice of every police officer who has served and serves in every corner of the country to protect the life, property and safety of citizens.

Today's ceremony honored the memory of the fallen, but at the same time it was also an appreciation to all those employees of the State Police, who over the years gave their lives to fulfill the mission and duty in the fight against crime.
