A serious incident was recorded yesterday evening where a Dutch tourist tragically died in the Albanian Alps.

The tourist was part of an organized guide who were exploring the mountainous area between Theth and Valbona. He slipped and fell on a steep terrain, dying on the spot.

It was his friends who immediately called the emergency services. Members of the Albanian Federation of Mountaineering and Tourism, as well as units from Kosovo, arrived at the scene with the aim of extracting the tourist's body from the abyss.

The operation to extract the tourist's body was completed around the early hours of the morning and lasted about 3-4 hours due to the difficult terrain.
