In the early hours of the morning, a powerful earthquake occurred in Montenegro, causing panic and fear among residents.

The magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred at 4:06 a.m. and was followed by 35 subsequent earthquakes from magnitude 3.5 to 1.1.5. The tremors were also felt in Albania, in the cities of Shkodra, Lezha and Tirana. 

Seismologist Rrapo Ormëni told Top Channel that Albania is not in danger after the earthquake that occurred in Montenegro in the early hours of the morning.

He stated that there is no place for panic, while he emphasized that the tremors were felt 3-4 times in the cities of the north of the country and Tirana.

" There is no place to panic, 3 to 4 magnitudes were felt in Shkodër and Tirana, with this intensity they are only felt and there is no place to panic, we call them moderate earthquakes, they were felt strongly especially in Montenegro, there were 7 to 8 earthquakes face, they are scary, for reasons of quality they cause damage. This earthquake has been accompanied by aftershocks, over 35 aftershocks, 2 to 4 on the Richter scale, the main energy is released, 20% of the energy remains unreleased, we will have a release that is completely extinguished. The earthquake is only sensitive, such earthquakes are not scary even in the countries that fall, it is characteristic, in 2022 an earthquake occurred in Bosnia on April 20, 5.7 on the Richter scale , "said Ormëni.
