The director of ARRSH, Evis Berberi, was arrested by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday evening ( March 13), a few hours after he left the office premises .
Yesterday, the news was served that Evis Berberi had voluntarily resigned after SPAK had started investigations against him.
Evis Berberi was on duty, in his office at ARRSH before he was arrested.
The director of the Albanian Road Authority was placed in handcuffs after leaving the office at ARRSH, but it is unclear whether he was arrested in his apartment or in some other environment.
During the checks in his apartment by the agents of BKH and SPAK, it was learned that several paintings worth thousands of euros, as well as a significant amount of money, were found on the director of ARRSH.
The paintings found were considered bribes by SPAK, but Evis Beberi was "removed" as an artist, claiming that he had painted them himself and that they were not bought.
Also, during the checks at the apartment, a number of personal items such as mobile phones, laptops, USB, and documents were seized, and checks were also carried out in his office at the Albanian Road Authority.
