The young Albanian Sibora Gagani , who was killed by her lover about 9 years ago and walled in an apartment in Torremolinos (Málaga) in Spain, has been given the last farewell by her family and relatives.
Her dead body was found about 5 months ago walled up in an apartment in Torremolinos, Spain.
She was only 22 years old when she was last seen. Sibora's mother, in tears and pain, says that she has died along with her daughter.
"Marco (responsible for the murder of Sibora Gagan) destroyed my daughter's life, but at the same time he took my life. My heart has died with him," she says devastated.
Farewell was given this Saturday in the country where he grew up and lived most of his life, Italy.
Gagan's remains were found in the apartment where she once lived with her ex-boyfriend, Marco Remeo, who is also her killer.
Her mother says she met him in Nettuno, an Italian commune located in the metropolitan capital of Rome, where she also lived.
"The first year they met, I didn't think anything bad about him, nor was there anything that made me think he might abuse her," says her mother.
However, the relationship progressed and during one of Elisabeta's visits to Malaga, her daughter confessed that "he was very possessive and that she no longer wanted to be with him".
He also confessed that, if one day he managed to separate from him, "he would have to go far away, to a place where he would not find him".
"One day he said he would call me and he never did." Meanwhile, his partner and the last person he had kept in touch with, assured relatives that he had left without prior notice and that he also did not know his whereabouts. I started to worry because everything seemed very strange to me", explains Sibora Gagan's mother .
She admits that suspicions have always been with Marko, although she emphasizes that she never thought "that he would do something so bad to his daughter".
"When I saw his face on television and in the newspapers that he had killed another girl, I knew it wasn't Sibora," she said.
And although nine "terrible" years passed without knowing anything about her daughter, the mother says she always had "faith" that one day she would return.
After about 9 years from the murder in 2014 in Spain, the authorities managed to find the remains of Sibora Gegani in the apartment where she lived with her ex-boyfriend, Marco Remeo.
The discovery of her remains came after the testimony given by the author, who, after his arrest in May, testified that he had killed Gegani and walled him in the wall of the apartment.
The remains of the 22-year-old Albanian woman were found on June 7 of this year in a plastic bag inside a wall in the apartment in Malaga where the couple lived.
Sibora Gagani moved into a flat with the Italian on the Costa del Sol in 2011 and disappeared on July 7, 2014. At the time, Gagani was 22 years old and working as a waitress in the town of Costa del Sol.
