The lifeless body of a 7-year-old girl was found in the Black Drin River.

The body of a 7-year-old girl who was swept away by the river has been found. According to information, the body was found near the Drini Bridge.

The tragic incident occurred in Gjorica, Bulqiza, yesterday afternoon. Five relatives, including an uncle, along with two nephews and two nieces, were swept away by the current of the Drin River while they were bathing.

It is previously suspected that the level of the Drin River has increased after the opening of the gates of the hydroelectric power plant in Greater Dibër.

After the family members reported the incident to the police, the blue uniforms went to the scene and after four hours they managed to save only four of them.

Meanwhile, one of the girls unfortunately drowned. After several hours of searching, the 7-year-old's body was found today.
