The victim who was found drowned in the Black Drini River in Kukës has been identified.

This is LN, 55 years old, a resident of the village of Oreshkë, who suffered from mental health problems.

His family reported him missing on July 27 at Police Station No. 5 in Tirana. Police are continuing their investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Announcement from the Kukes police:

Following the information provided yesterday, regarding the discovery of the lifeless body of an unidentified citizen in the waters of the Black Drini River, we would like to inform you that:

Verifications revealed that the body belonged to citizen LN, 55 years old, a resident of the village of Oreshkë, who suffered from mental health problems.

The 55-year-old's family members reported on 27.07.2025, at Police Station No. 5, Tirana, about his departure from the apartment and the loss of contact with him.
