A 67-year-old man, who stabbed a 70-year-old man yesterday after a fight over a domino game, has been arrested by the Durrës Police.

A citizen was seriously injured with a knife during a conflict for weak motives. The immediate intervention of the Police put the suspected perpetrator in handcuffs.

After being injured, the perpetrator fled, but was caught after a few minutes of pursuit by the Durrës Police Commissariat.

At the time of capture, the perpetrator had with him the cutting tool (knife) with which he inflicted the injury.

The services of the Durrës Police Commissariat, immediately after receiving a report of a physical conflict involving the use of a cutting tool, in the area near "Pranvera" Square, went to the given address and intervened in real time.

As a result of professional intervention, the Police arrested citizen A. Sh., 67 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 11, Durrës, in flagrante delicto.

His arrest took place after yesterday, in neighborhood no. 11, Durrës, in the area known as "Lulishtja", near "Pranvera" square, during a conflict for weak motives and a verbal debate with offensive words, he attacked citizen FT, 70 years old, resident of the same neighborhood, with a cutting tool (knife), seriously injuring him. 

The injured person is at the Durrës Regional Hospital, under the care of doctors. 

As material evidence, the cutting tool (knife) with which the injury was inflicted was seized.

Work continues on the complete legal documentation of the event.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".
