A divorced mother of four says she was cheated on by a "very charming" Albanian immigrant.
She complained on social media that the Albanian had cheated on her and married her only for letters, but her story also caught the attention of "Dailymail".
"Devastated" Natasha Chambers , 38, revealed her marriage collapsed after just a year when her new husband suddenly lost interest in her and refused to start a family.
Speaking to MailOnline, Natasha, a beautician, said: " I'm convinced he only married me to get the papers but he didn't and left me. I'm a victim. I think I've been cheated on and it's so painful. I loved my husband so much and I really thought he loved me too but he didn't even want to have a child with me and things changed the moment we got married. I paid for everything for him. He lived in my house with my children but he didn't give me a penny even though he was earning money working in construction. I have no idea where he was taking his money.
Natasha, from Long Eaton, Derbyshire, agreed to tie the knot with the 'handsome and gorgeous' Albanian man, 8 years her junior, whom she had met on an online dating site.
Revealing her pain on social media, she also warned other women not to fall prey to the same scam.
"First of all, I just want to say that I'm not saying that all Albanians are the same, I'm not saying that all illegal immigrants are the same. But the man I was with seemed to know exactly what he was going to do, he knew all the 'tricks'. I was head over heels in love with him and he showered me with love. I was heartbroken when our marriage ended after just a year. I understand now that he used me. He never supported me financially. I kept him with money. I'm not saying that I have proof that he loved me on paper, but I'm just telling you what my marriage and my relationship with him were like."
Natasha, who has three teenage children and an 8-year-old from her first marriage, which lasted 17 years, said she was going through a difficult time when she met the Albanian. He "unfolded" his charms and she fell in love.
"I knew he was living here illegally. He had been here for five years when I met him and was working in construction with his cousin."
The couple quickly became engaged and married in August 2023 only to separate just 14 months later.
"When we got married, I discussed having a child. Then he completely changed as a person, he had been very attentive and loving before. He was fantastic with my children at first. It was a godsend and helped a lot, but everything changed very quickly. He gave me his full attention, he was very kind, loyal and was my best friend. He seemed to be very sincere. Everything was just perfect. We were very happy. But it didn't last long. He suddenly didn't want to do family things. In fact, after we got married he lost interest in my children. I wanted to have a child with him and I thought a man his age would want that too, but he said no. It was only when he had problems getting a visa that he showed interest in having a child. But by then it was already too late. I realized I was being fooled. I know people will judge me and say things like, I shouldn't communicate with someone who "It's not legal. At the end of the day, we all do things and we all learn from the things we do. People are going to have their own opinions and that's fine."
But even though they are in the process of divorcing, she showed that she still kept in touch with her ex.
"He was deported on December 27th. We are in touch and he was very angry that I had posted my story on social media. I am still married to him, but I will divorce him as soon as I can."
