The Special Appeals Panel has decided to dismiss the judge of Tirana, Besnik Hoxha.

The decision comes nearly a year after he was confirmed as the KPK's deputy. But the Public Commissioner insisted on triggering Hoxha, claiming that the judge did not reach a reliable level of any of the pillars of the reassessment.

Hoxha, who was confirmed to office by majority vote a year ago in the KPK, is known as one of the members of the troupe that tried the case and gave innocence to the guards accused of the killings at the January 21 protest.

KPK's decision to confirm Hoxha was opposed by the International Observers Operation and then appealed by the Public Commissioner, who claims that the KPK decision is vulnerable to all three reassessment criteria.
