The acting director of the Durrës Penitentiary Institution, Edmond Llabani, has suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and is currently under the care of doctors at the QSUT.

Edmond Llabani was appointed head of the Durrës Penitentiary Institution after the dismissal and arrest of the former director, Indrit Cërloji, who faced criminal measures after the escape from Durrës Hospital of the detainee Altin Ndoci. 

Llaban's health condition is being monitored by medical staff, while further official information is awaited.
