The former head of the "Eagles" in the State Police, Engjëllush Avdulaj, with a 25-year career in the ranks of the police, has returned to work after leaving as a result of threats from Ervis Martinaj.

Engjllush Avdulaj will hold the post of director of the Territory Protection Inspectorate in Saranda.

We remind you that the reason for his threats were checks on Martinaj's gambling businesses. The clash took place in October 2013, where the operation "End of Folly" had just started and the police had blocked gambling machines, which had worried Ervis Martinaj.

On October 20, 2013, at the height of the "End of Folly" operation, against illegal gambling, Ervis Martinaj threatened the head of the "Shqiponja" special department in the Tirana police department, Engjëllush Avdulaj, that he would kill him.

Avdylaj started working as an inspector of the criminal police, as he held various duties as head of the order section, head of the sector, sub/department commander, commander of the department with special rapid intervention forces, head of the Shqiponja Tirana department, head of the police station, director of detention in Vlora.

For almost three years, Ervis Martinaj has been considered missing, while his fate remains a mystery. There have been speculations in the media that he may have been killed, as the authorities have also conducted searches for his body, but to no avail.
