Police have arrested a 15-year-old from Burreli in Mirdita , who was caught transporting 3 grenades, 1 Kalashnikov firearm and combat ammunition.

The Lezha Prosecutor's Office is conducting investigations to prove the purpose of transporting these items by the 15-year-old, as well as to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens who may have been implicated in this case.

Police announcement:

The police operation codenamed "Signal" in Mirdita is finalized.

3 grenades, 1 Kalashnikov and combat ammunition were seized.

The 15-year-old who was caught red-handed while transporting weapons and ammunition has been arrested.

As a result of the immediate administration of information provided by police intelligence, that a citizen was transporting firearms and explosive weapons, the services of the Mirditë Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the operational services of the Lezha Local Police Directorate, finalized the operation codenamed "Signal".

During the operation, citizen ES, 15 years old, resident of Burrel, was arrested red-handed, near the village of Fang, while transporting 3 grenades, 1 Kalashnikov firearm and combat ammunition.

Under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, to which the procedural materials for the case were referred, investigations are being conducted to prove the purpose of transporting these items by the 15-year-old, as well as to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens who may have been implicated in this case.
