41-year-old Jetar Bajaziti was arrested by police in Fier after being in a vehicle armed with a firearm. Along with him, 21-year-old Alessio Llupi, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime."

"He was driving a vehicle armed with a firearm, the 41-year-old was caught and put in handcuffs. A 21-year-old, a passenger in the vehicle, was also handcuffed for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime". The pistol-type firearm, a sporting weapon and the vehicle in which the arrested were traveling, as well as 2 cell phones, were seized," the announcement states.

"Following the work to crack down on illegal possession of weapons and identify armed persons, the services of the Fier Police Commissariat, based on the information provided, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Guns". As part of this operation, citizens JB, 41 years old, and A. Ll., 21 years old, both residents of Fier, were arrested. During the search of the vehicle driven by citizen JB, the Police services found and seized a pistol-type firearm, with 5 cartridges in the magazine. Then, during the search of a service owned by citizen JB, a sporting weapon, an air rifle, was found and seized", concludes the police announcement.
