A 28-year-old man in Bulqiza has been arrested by the Police after he drove away at high speed without paying and endangering the life of the gas station employee while filling up his Benz car at a gas station.

Through a statement, the Police announced that the incident occurred at a gas station in the village of Shupenza.

It is also known that the 28-year-old had previously been convicted in Italy for robbery and deported from this country for 10 years.

He supplied the vehicle with fuel and did not make the payment but quickly left, endangering the life of the gas station employee. The driver of the vehicle was identified, caught and arrested.

The "Eagle" Special Forces at the Dibër Police Station, in cooperation with the Bulqiza Police Commissariat, after a report made by an employee of a gas station in Shupenza, about a driver who left without paying after refueling the vehicle, organized the work to identify and capture him.

As a result of the timely response, the administration of video footage and other evidence, it was possible to identify, capture and arrest the driver of the vehicle, specifically citizen A. Xh., 28 years old, resident of Bulqizë, previously convicted in Italy for robbery and deported from this country for 10 years.

This citizen is suspected of having arrived at a gas station in Shupenza in the early hours of the morning of 21.02.2026 in a "Benz" type vehicle and, after filling it with diesel, quickly left without paying, endangering the life of the gas station employee.

The vehicle, as well as a mask-shaped hood, were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër, for further action.
