Family members of Saimir Sula and citizens have protested in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding an autopsy of the deceased.

Protesters have displayed banners demanding justice for Sula's death.

The event occurred on May 8, 2020 at around 11:00 PM. The pandemic was in its early stages.

A young Albanian man named Saimir Sula has been admitted to the Hospital del Mar (Barcelona) accompanied by his sister Majlinda. He had a fever and went to take a Covid test, which came back negative.

They took him inside, while his sister stood outside waiting for the results. 18 hours later, the medical team at the hospital called Majlinda to tell her that her brother had died.

According to the deceased's sister, they attempted to cremate the body in record time.

Majlinda refused because she saw bruises on her brother's body that he didn't have when she entered and argued that the body would be transferred to Albania, her birthplace, where she would request a second autopsy.

The coffin arrived in Tirana and a second test was performed. The team that conducted it issued a report assuring that the body had arrived without a heart.

The family demanded explanations from the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona about the reasons for the young man's sudden death and filed a complaint in Barcelona after they pointed out in Tirana that the body had arrived without a heart.
