Just three weeks before she was murdered by her husband, Marjola Nakoleci had saved his life by stopping him from attempting suicide.

This detail was revealed by the victim's sisters, who say that the 36-year-old had long been under systematic violence and constant pressure.

The body of Marjola Nakolec has arrived in Korça, where the funeral ceremony will take place today.

The family members are in a serious emotional state and have refused contact with the media, while the victim's eldest daughter has stated that she has disowned her father and will avenge her mother's blood.

According to family members' testimonies, Pandeli Nakoleci exercised constant violence, accused his wife of infidelity, and often forced her to have sexual intercourse against her will, with the aim of keeping her bound through a pregnancy.

Just a month ago, the gynecologist had placed Marjola on birth control.

The 36-year-old mother of four children will be escorted to her final resting place today amid the pain of her family and community.
