A serious event was recorded yesterday in Elbasan.

Police authorities announce that a 34-year-old woman appeared at the Elbasan maternity facility around 12:00, where she performed an abortion procedure and then left for her apartment.

But, around 18:00 of the same day, it is suspected that due to health complications, she notified the ambulance services, which transported her to the Elbasan Maternity Hospital, where unfortunately the young woman passed away.

For this case, the officers of the Judicial Police of the Prosecution of Elbasan have initiated criminal proceedings against the citizens AP, 56 years old, and B. Gj., 60 years old, doctors at the Maternity Hospital of Elbasan, for the criminal offense "Negligence in medical treatment".

The police announce that the work continues under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, for the clarification and complete legal documentation of this case.
