The tragedy in Italy, the Albanian who gave first aid to the injured: No one
Bujar Bucaj

The Albanian Bujar Buçaj was one of the first people who offered first aid to people who had a bus accident in Mestre, Italy, a tragedy that ended with 21 victims and 18 injured.

In an interview for the Italian media , Buçaj confesses, among other things, that no one else helped him in those moments, although there were many people, some of whom were sitting and filming videos with their phones.

"I helped a girl get off the bus. Then, I came to the aid of the other two. I asked several people to give me a hand, but no one came. They stood on the overpass and made videos. Afterwards, a gentleman threw me a fire extinguisher which I took and tried to put out the flames."

Then, Bujari says that at first a police car arrived at the scene, followed by the ambulance and finally the ambulance and the firemen.

From the investigations so far, strong suspicions arise that the batteries may have burst into flames, cutting off the electricity and blocking the steering and braking system.

In this tragedy, 21 people lost their lives, including 2 children, and 15 others were injured, all foreign tourists, mainly from Ukraine, Germany and Spain who wanted to visit the historical area of Venice.
