A tragic accident in Germany took the lives of three members of a family from Ferizaj, Kosovo.

Local media have published photos of the victims, Tahir Aliu, 61 years old, his son Gentian Aliu, 34 years old, and nephew Laurent Aliu, 16 years old.

The three were returning to Germany after a vacation in Kosovo.

The vehicle they were traveling in went off the road for reasons still unclear and slid down an embankment.

The rescue operation was difficult, as the victims were trapped in the vehicle and a crane was needed to extract them.

By order of the Regensburg Public Prosecutor's Office, an expert has been hired to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and determine the circumstances that led to the vehicle leaving the road.
