4 traffickers sentenced to prison for smuggling migrants to the EU

The Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime has found guilty 4 defendants of the criminal group accused of trafficking in illegal immigrants from the Middle East to EU countries.

Citizens Yalcin Ali Hanci and Mustafa Cosekoglu were sentenced to 6 years in prison each, while Soran Saber and Yahia Yussef (alias Kamal Kamil) were sentenced to 12 years in prison each.

They are charged with forming an organized criminal group and aiding illegal border crossing.

These citizens were sending immigrants from third countries to the European Union.

The decision was made by a panel of judges composed of Etleva Deda, Ardit Mustafaj and Bib Ndreca.
