A 37-year-old man from Vlora was detained by the police after he was filmed pulling a horse with a car.

He was prosecuted for the crime of mistreatment of animals, and was fined 110,000 lek for the traffic violations he had committed. His car was also seized.

Based on the images published on the JOQ portal, where a citizen can be seen pulling an animal (horse) in the area of ​​Selenica, the services of the Selenica Police Station have immediately started verifications, which makes it possible to identify and track the driver of the vehicle. "Benz", citizen GH, 37 years old, resident in the village of Mavrovo.

By the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes at the Selenica Police Station, following the procedural actions, the citizen GH was criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Animal abuse".

At the same time, the Traffic Police Sector in DVP Vlorë verified the documentation of the vehicle shown in the video. After finding several violations of the Road Code, the citizen GH was fined administratively in the amount of 110,000 ALL, while the "Benz" type vehicle was confiscated.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Vlora for further action.

The Local Directorate of the Vlora Police thanks the media and citizens for the cooperation and publication of such cases, as well as calls on all citizens to report any similar case without hesitation, contributing to the protection of animal rights and the preservation of public safety and in strengthening order.
