The Special Court of Appeals reduced the security measure from "prison arrest" to "house arrest" for Erind Agalliu alias Teneqexhiu. According to the court order, the suspect is ordered not to leave his apartment.

Agalliu was arrested as part of a joint operation between SPAK and Finland, where security measures were signed for 11 Albanian citizens. The group he was part of had trafficked 900 kg of cannabis, cocaine and amphetamine.

The joint investigation resulted in the identification of 4 structured criminal groups, composed of Albanian and foreign citizens, during 2022 and onwards. These groups, created, organized and led by Albanian citizens, were able to traffic significant quantities of highly dangerous narcotic substances or items into the territory of the Republic of Finland, including cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis, ecstasy and other psychotropic substances.

The drugs were trafficked and transported from the Netherlands and Spain, and then delivered, traded, and distributed in several cities in Finland, using a well-organized network of drug distributors/substances, with the aim of securing illegal income.

A characteristic of these structured criminal groups has been cooperation among themselves to achieve criminal goals or, in some cases, some members of structured criminal groups also acted on behalf of other groups.

Some of the members of these structured criminal groups have been arrested and convicted by Finnish courts of first instance for this criminal activity.

The most important episodes documented during 2022-2024 include: the trafficking and subsequent sale of around 400 kg of amphetamine, over 500 kg of cannabis, as well as significant amounts of cocaine; the massive distribution of ecstasy tablets and other prohibited substances in Helsinki and other cities.
