Two officers of the Kavaja Road Police have been suspended from work by the Police Supervision Agency.

It is about the inspectors with the initials HT and BH who are accused of the criminal offense of passive corruption. This decision has come, after the court of Lushnja decided for these citizens the security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service" and "Compulsion to appear before the judicial police". 

Their suspension came as a result of the investigations carried out by the Fier-Berat Regional Directorate of AMP in cooperation with the Durrës-Kavajë Regional Directorate on suspicions of corrupt interactions on the part of the above citizens

On 17.10.2022, the Regional Directorate of AMP Fier-Berat has implemented the Decision of the Lushnje Judicial District Court dated 13.10.2022, which decided to assign the measure of personal insurance "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service" and "Compulsion to appear before the judicial police" to the employees of the Traffic Police structure in the Kavajë Police Station:

- Inspector HT, suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Passive corruption by persons exercising public functions", provided for by Article 259 of the Criminal Code.

- Inspector BH, suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Passive corruption by persons exercising public functions", provided for by Article 259 of the Criminal Code.

In addition, the Court of the Lushnje Judicial District has decided the appointment as a measure of personal security "Compulsion to appear before the judicial police" against the citizen PT, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions".

In the framework of this criminal proceeding, the decision of this Court has not been executed on the appointment as a measure of personal security "Compulsion to appear before the judicial police", against the citizen E.SH, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption of to persons exercising public functions", since this citizen is not found in residence and it turns out that he has left the territory of the Republic of Albania.

The assignment of security measures came as a result of the investigations carried out by the Fier-Berat Regional Directorate of AMP in cooperation with the Durrës-Kavajë Regional Directorate on suspicions of corrupt interactions on the part of the above citizens, within the framework of Criminal Procedure No. 807/2021 .
