"Storm 17" in Durrës: 4 Chinese nationals arrested, 4 others prosecuted for prostitution

"Storm 17" in Durrës: 4 Chinese nationals arrested, 4 others

Durrës Police have successfully finalized the operation codenamed "Storm 17", after a 4-week investigation conducted with special methods, in the context of cracking down on illegal activities related to prostitution.

During the operation, specialists from the Trafficking Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Special Operations Force, arrested 4 Chinese citizens in flagrante delicto: X. Ch. (48 years old), JL (36 years old), YL (48 years old) and L. Sh. (53 years old).

According to the investigations, these citizens had rented two premises in the Golem and Shkëmbi i Kavajës areas, which they had adapted for practicing prostitution.

Meanwhile, 4 other citizens from Durrës, Kavaja, Shijak and Kosovo, suspected of involvement in this activity, have been criminally prosecuted while at large.

As material evidence, the police seized 4 passports and a sum of money.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action.
