SPAK extends the investigation deadline against the mayor of Shkodra by 3
Benet Beci

SPAK has extended the investigation deadlines for the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci , by 3 months.

Criminal proceedings were registered against Beci for violating equality in public tenders or auctions, committed in collaboration on 23.10.2024.

Meanwhile, on April 23, 2025, prosecutor Dritan Prençi named the socialist mayor as a defendant.

Beci is accused of the 2019 tender worth 700 thousand euros, aimed at the strategic development of the energy sector (research project).

Along with Benet Beci, several other officials with roles in the Bid Evaluation Committee have also been taken under investigation for this tender.
