The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) has completed the investigation into a Russian citizen, accused of threatening to detonate a bomb at Rinas Airport.
Vladislav Urban, 44, has been charged with "threats to commit acts with terrorist intent."
According to SPAK, in February 2023, the Russian sent an e-mail to the address of the Chief of Operations of Rinas, threatening to detonate a bomb if the Albanian government did not recognize Kosovo as Serbia, and also claiming to have taken 2 Albanians hostage.
The investigation of the case revealed that the email was sent by a Russian named Urban, a resident of Thessaloniki. After exchanging information with the Greek side and conducting an investigation, it emerged that the 44-year-old had not taken anyone hostage, and that he had a history of sending threatening emails.
