Meat with brucellosis has been sold in our country and the responsible authorities have remained silent by not informing the public.

According to reliable sources for "Ora News" television, animals with brucellosis were sent to a slaughterhouse in Berat and after being slaughtered, their meat was released for widespread consumption.

Veterinarians in the Berat slaughterhouse have turned a blind eye to this scandal and the meat has been circulating in the market without any notification that the slaughtered animals were affected by "Brucela" bacteria.

It was the High State Control, the institution that raised the alarm, making it possible to issue the immediate order to block the slaughterhouse in Berat.

After receiving this information, "Ora News" turned to AKU with a request, where specific information regarding this case was requested.

This institution succeeds the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as the central authority for drafting the legislation in force.

AKU has chosen not to provide any information about this scandal, even though this institution is the authority that licenses slaughterhouses.

It is still not known whether the meat of cattle with brucellosis was sold only in shops and bars, or if it was also used for production in sausage factories.

The situation is even more alarming for another fact. Before cows with brucellosis go to the slaughterhouse, their milk is sold, putting at risk consumers not only of milk, but also of its by-products, such as cheese and butter.

Brucellosis is a disease that passes from animals to humans through:

Drinking unpasteurized milk, dairy, at the same time also from the meat of affected cattle.

The symptoms that a person affected by brucellosis has are:

- High temperature;

- vomiting;

- headache;

- feelings of extreme fatigue, etc.

There is still no official data on how many people in our country have been affected by brucellosis so far.
