The Public Procurement Commission has unblocked the tender with a fund limit of 7.7 million euros for the maintenance of the fiscalization system, one of the most important procedures for the functioning of the tax administration.
The decision comes after almost six months of suspension, during which the NAKSHI and the General Directorate of Taxes were forced to halt every step until the recommendations of the CPC were reflected.
The tender is for the " Maintenance of the Billing Control Management Module ", which guarantees the 24/7 operation of the fiscalization system, a service used by around 125 thousand taxpayers and administration structures.
The CPC allowed the procedure to continue after NAKSHI and Taxes announced in an official letter that they had made the requested changes, recorded on November 20.
The development comes at a time when the National Agency for the Protection of Children and Youth is undergoing the filter of several important procedures.
The KPP's decision on the fiscalization tender came just a few days before the institution also unblocked another controversial NAKSHI procedure, a tender worth around 2.4 million euros for the integration of economic assistance and social services systems.
That tender was blocked for almost a year after complaints and suspicions about the cancellation of the procedure immediately after the winner was announced.
Its unblocking occurred on the same day that the former director of AKSHI, Mirlinda Karçanaj, was questioned for three hours by SPAK regarding at least 12 tenders suspected of being problematic.
Meanwhile, investigations are also affecting other key names in technology procurement, including Ermal Beqiri and Gerond Meçe./skyweb
