The High Prosecutorial Council will meet on December 9 at 11:00 to vote for Joni Keta as head of the National Bureau of Investigation.

Joni Keta currently holds the position of deputy director of the Bureau and was proposed as director in the finals of a process that lasted several months, reports journalist Klodiana Lala.

There were 7 candidates in the race to lead the structure that assists SPAK in investigations, including senior police officials, but also prosecutors.

In its first 5-year term, the structure dubbed the "Albanian FBI" was led by Aida Hajnaj.
