A serious accident happened this Tuesday morning on the Përrenjas-Qafë Thane axis where 6 people were injured, among them a 23-year-old girl in a coma, in danger of her life.

The family of six had stopped in the premises of a bar, about 30 m away from the road lane and were outside their vehicle when a vehicle lost control and "flew" over them.

As a result, the 23-year-old girl who was hit by the vehicle is in a coma, the other 10-year-old girl broke her leg and the 6-year-old girl, the three sisters, also suffered a fracture.

Likewise, their father Artan Pishkashi, an immigrant who had returned from Albania for a family reason, was injured in this serious accident. The grandmother was also injured.

The vehicle that lost control was driven by 44-year-old Jetmir Daci from Peshkopia. He is being pursued at large after the prosecutor's decision, the police of Elbasan say, while according to witnesses, the vehicle lost control after a wrong pass and then flew off the road.

Sources told Top Channel that the driver who caused the serious accident from the tests carried out by the police is found to be drunk. The test showed that the 44-year-old man was drunk at the wheel at the level of 0.40 mg/l at the time he hit the family members.

The elderly woman who was among the 6 family members who were hit by the drunk driver on the Prrenjas-Qafë Thane road, has left the trauma hospital where she was receiving medical treatment after the serious accident.

She told Top Channel how the serious incident happened when the "Golf" type car driven by Jetmir Daci hit her together with her family members.

"My leg is in plaster, my ribs and hands are damaged. It was a birthday for the little girl. We went there, when we met, what happened, I don't remember anything from there. He came drunk, that's what they say, but where did I see him, that the car ran over me and the girl", said the elderly woman.

Even the family of the accident victims told Top Channel the terrible moment. He narrates how a speeding car took money from four relatives. "It came like a kamikaze, it became a disaster, the injured one on top of the other", remembers the family.

"I sat down to drink a coffee until the groom arrived. He told me I will wait for my grandmother and we will go to my sisters. As soon as he got into the car, a Golf came at speed, the car immediately sped off and took money from the four of them. Catastrophe whatever you look at, one after the other. Like what kamikazes do. There is no possibility that it was a car malfunction, he was drunk. There were so many speeds, over 200 km per hour. Many people gathered, the ambulance came. The older daughter was operated on in Tirana, the younger one has her leg in plaster. Shame on God that there was not even a bandage in Librazhd".

The whole family is receiving medical help at the Trauma hospital, while the condition of the 23-year-old woman remains serious.
