The fire in the village of Drizë in Fier has been extinguished after several hours of fighting the flames, while leaving behind extensive damage in the area.

The flames have burned large areas of olive trees and damaged the water supply in the area.

According to the director of the Fier Regional Water Supply and Sewerage Company, Gentian Alikaj, the fire has now been extinguished, but initially the water supply company employees themselves intervened to neutralize it, as the fire services focused on protecting the homes.
