Vanessa Ballan 's killer had been stalking the victim for a long time. This was confirmed by the colleagues of the supermarket where the pregnant woman worked.

The Albanian from Kosovo followed her to her workplace, went to the supermarket up to four times a day, made very small purchases and then left. She had a 4-year-old child and was expecting a second.

"Recently she told us she was scared. In October she told us that she had gone to file a stalking report," says a colleague of Vanessa's to Corriere della Sera.

The woman had a relationship with Bujar Fandaj, the 41-year-old Kosovar, who, according to the Treviso Prosecutor's Office, killed her with 7 stab wounds, which ended in the summer of 2023. From that moment on, the alleged perpetrator's pursuit began.

"He used to come here often. Maybe he did it with the excuse that he has only one thing to get, there were days when we saw him up to four times in the morning. She obviously reacted upset and in the last period she was afraid", said her colleague, among other things.

Another colleague of the 26-year-old, Tatiana, sends a message on behalf of everyone quoted by the newspaper il Messaggero: "I am deeply shocked and saddened. We extend our condolences to the family. We will talk to the company because we want to do something to remember Vanessa " .

Tatiana confirms that she has often seen Bujar in the supermarket: " He was calm at first glance, but I never spoke to him.

Bujar was also known in the bar next to the supermarket.

The owner, interviewed again by Messaggero, emphasized that the author was an ardent fan of Inter. " He is an ardent fan of Inter. He often comes here for a coffee and a cigarette. It has never caused any problems. He seemed like a calm person," said the owner of the bar.

Three hours after stabbing Vanessa Ballan, the man entered a bar in San Vito di Altivole, where he lives. "He ordered a beer, which he drank calmly, chatting with us and a tattoo customer," said the counter clerk and the owner.
