A serious incident happened this morning in a hotel in the city of Maliqi, where a person died due to a gas leak from the cylinder used to heat the room.

It is learned that Bexhet Tresa , 56 years old, died in the hospital after being asphyxiated by gas.

While the 49-year-old EN, who was in the same room with him, is out of danger.

The investigative team is working to clarify the circumstances of the event.

Police notification

"This morning, in a hotel in the city of Maliqi, it is suspected that due to the leakage of gas from the cylinder for heating the room where they were staying, BT citizen, 56 years old, and EN citizen, 49 years old, residents of Tirana, asphyxiated.

Both citizens were sent for medical help to the Korça hospital, where the 56-year-old man died, while the EN citizen is out of danger. The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the event ," the police explained.
