A strategic agreement has been signed between the National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber ​​Security in Albania and the Cyber ​​Security Council of the United Arab Emirates.

The agreement was signed this Thursday, after the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Tirana, who also attended a joint press conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama.

During his speech, the head of the government considered the agreement on cooperation in cyber security as of strategic importance for our country. Rama thanked the United Arab Emirates for being by Albania's side when it was most needed and says that they are influencing the process of normalizing relations between Serbia and Kosovo.

"Let me express my hearty welcome to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates to Albania. The United Emirates is a country that has been present when we needed it most to not feel alone. Starting with the large mass exodus of Kosovo Albanians towards Albania when the current president of the United Emirates, accompanied by a large group of people to bring help and relief and when the way was opened for the landing of planes in Kukës to help those who were most in need.

We have felt the friendship and I must say that the last few years have marked very positive developments. As a witness of the full will of the United Arab Emirates to become part of a long journey but also to do everything for the process of normalization between Serbia and Kosovo and to ensure that all countries together take more and more together in the future and less connected to the past. It's not good motivation if we don't see a reason to run towards the future.

My friend, I know you have a lot of work, you have to go from one point to another. You are always on the run but I don't envy you. We appreciate you and are blessed to have been so privileged for this historic period that after a long isolation we were able to meet people like you and the people of the emirates who make our lives more beautiful because not only do we not feel alone but highly respected. Nothing is more important than friendship" , said Rama.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during his speech, praised the good relations between the two states. He said that they are looking forward to working closely with Albania. Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that 12 thousand Albanians live and work in the United Arab Emirates and do a very good job.

"Kryeministër më lini të them se sa i nderuar jam që kthehem në Tiranë. Ndihem vërtetë në siklet që janë bërë kaq vite nga vizita që kur isha në Kukës. Nuk i harroj kurrë ato pamje të njerëzve që ishin në nevojë, por edhe të bujarisë së Shqiptarëve drejt kosovarëve. Kryeministër ju jeni një komb me shumë fat dhe ja keni dalë në një periudhë kaq të shkurtër për t’ja dalë mbanë. Jam i lumtur të shoh se marrëdhënia jonë po rritet por do të thoja dhe do të doja që ajo të rritet më shpejt. Ka kaq shumë gjëra të mira që po ndodhin, por ka edhe shumë gjëra që do të bëjmë. Sipas bisedës që bëmë bashkë me kolegët për energjinë, infrastrukturën dhe turizmin, përmes jush kryeministër do të doja të them se ne jemi të nderuar që kemi 12 mijë shqiptarë që jetojnë në Emiratet dhe kanë bërë një punë kaq të mirë. Në do të bëjmë gjithçka të mundur për ta që të ruajmë kontaktet në vend por edhe që ata mos të ndjejnë mallin për shtëpinë. Kryeministër dua të them se Emiratet e Bashkuara Arabe do të përpiqen të punojnë me miqtë e tyre në Ballkan duke vlerësuar paqen dhe duke respektuar të shkuarën dhe historinë. E shohim procesin e normalizimit midis Shqipërisë dhe Kosovës si diçka që është jashtë mase inkurajuese. E mbështesim fort atë dhe do të punojmë për tu siguruar që normalizim i Kosovës dhe Serbisë të jetë i suksesshëm. Pres me padurim të punojmë ngushtë me ju."- said the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
