The Italian authorities have deported to Albania the 32-year-old Albanian Orjol Lame, who caused the tragic accident a few months ago in Italy, where his wife, their one-and-a-half-year-old child, as well as his wife's sister and brother lost their lives.
Lame remains under investigation by Italian justice, as he is accused of murdering the four aforementioned persons. On the night of October 30, 2022, he lost control of the vehicle, crashing into an uninhabited villa in Via Emilia, causing multiple deaths.
The driver of the car, Lame, was seriously injured and remained in a coma for about two months, coming out of the coma in December. At that time, the prosecutor asked for house arrest for the 32-year-old, but that was rejected by the judge.
After the investigations, the Albanian was found to have an irregular stay in the Italian state, and he was previously sentenced to two years in prison for cocaine trafficking. Besides these, he has returned to Albania, accompanied by his family members.
