Weather forecaster Lajda Porja made the weather forecast for the weekend and the following days. According to her, a cold polar mass is expected to penetrate Albania on Saturday evening, which has currently affected Central Europe.

This will bring snow to mountainous areas, especially in the northeast, while precipitation will be less in the Korça region. Temperatures will drop significantly, while precipitation will continue to be present until Monday, with rain in the western lowlands and snow in mountainous areas.

"On Saturday evening, we expect the penetration of a cold polar mass, which has entered Central Europe. We will have snow in the mountainous areas of the north-east, there will be more and less in the Korça region, temperatures will drop. It is predicted that precipitation will remain present on Sunday and Monday of next week. Rain in the Western Lowlands and snow in the mountainous area. The weather is unstable,"  Porja said in a television interview.

Porja warned that the cold episode will continue until Tuesday, with temperatures in mountainous areas possibly dropping to several degrees below zero.

On Wednesday of next week, an increase in temperatures and a return of precipitation are expected, with a brief phenomenon on the 27th of the month, which could bring heavy rainfall, especially in the north and partially in the center.

"We will have a cold episode which will be 0, up to a few degrees below zero in mountainous areas, on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and until Tuesday. On Wednesday of next week, temperatures will increase, precipitation will return, there are signals that on the 27th there will be another phenomenon, which fortunately will last very little, but will bring and produce heavy precipitation. It is mostly in the north, but this time it is also partially in the center."

There is a risk of flooding in some areas due to high soil moisture following the rainy season. The weather is expected to remain unstable until November 28th.

"In certain areas there will be a risk of flooding, especially after this period where the ground is saturated with moisture, even a small episode of rainfall is fatal for the areas that have been flooded. The weather is unstable until the 28th."
